There are several Townhome (or Townhouse) and Villa (or Duplex) communities spread throughout the Tampa Bay area. These type of homes are somewhat similar with slight differences. Similar in a way where it’s classified as a multifamily dwelling that shares a common roof. Townhomes are often rows of homes of same or slightly different sizes that look alike in the exterior. Villas on the other hand can be a single family villa or can be like a duplex that have 2 units both of which can have the entry way found in the side of the house. Both types can have it’s own driveway, garage, lawn, patio and usually belong in a maintenance-free community where the HOA Fees cover lawn maintenance, exterior paint, and sometimes roof. Most 55+ Communities offers these type of homes.
